WFP Lesotho

WFP Lesotho is the country office of the United Nations World Food Programme, operating throughout the Kingdom of Lesotho to address food insecurity and malnutrition. Based in Maseru, the office implements programmes targeting vulnerable populations including schoolchildren, people living with HIV/AIDS, and farming communities affected by climate shocks. The organization runs the national school feeding programme, reaching hundreds of thousands of children across Lesotho’s ten districts with daily nutritious meals. WFP Lesotho also supports smallholder farmers through food assistance for assets initiatives and collaborates with the government on social protection and disaster preparedness.
