Job Purpose
To supervise and coordinate international mail operations, ensuring compliance with international postal standards, efficient processing and dispatch of mail, mail security, quality of service and effective liaison with international postal operators.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervision of International Mail Operations
- Supervise staff involved in international mail processing.
- Allocate duties and monitor staff performance.
- Ensure that international mail is processed efficiently and according to established procedures.
- Monitor productivity, accuracy and quality of service.
- International Postal Standards
- Ensure compliance with UPU standards, regulations and procedures.
- Promote standardisation of international mail processes.
- Monitor quality-of-service requirements.
- Ensure that international mail is processed securely and efficiently.
- Statistics and Reporting
- Maintain accurate international mail statistics for returned mail and verification notes.
- Prepare operational reports.
- Analyse mail volumes, performance and service quality.
- Provide information required for operational and management decisions.
- Financial and Settlement Matters
- Monitor international postal accounts and related payments.
- Assist with reconciliation of international mail transactions.
- Deal with financial settlements between postal administrations where applicable.
- Coordinate the budget for International Mail on anticipated revenues.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify weaknesses in international mail processes.
- Recommend improvements to efficiency, security and service quality.
- Support the introduction of new technologies and systems.
Requirements
- Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting or any Accounting field, plus a minimum of two (2) years’ relevant working experience.
- Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting or any Accounting field, plus a minimum of four (4) years’ relevant working experience.
- Experience in the Postal Services sector is highly desirable.
