Key Responsibilities
- Provide feedback on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities
- Pipeline Management: Source and convert high-potential corporate leads into active group schemes.
- Tender Management: Lead responses to corporate Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and formal tenders.
- Pitching & Presentation: Deliver compelling product pitches to Executives and senior management, HR directors, and boards.
- Provide regular reporting on activities, new sales opportunities, client focus and product initiatives to the management team
- Conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity, in line with Metropolitan values
- Liaise with client services and compliance teams internally on reporting and mandates and management of the on-going relationships through regular meetings
- Initiate contact with potential and current customers to generate and qualify leads, promote the company’s products and services, and identify sales opportunities.
- Manage all aspects of relationships with Brokers, including co-ordination and presentation of administration and investment reports
- People Development : Develop, Coach and Mentor others
- Institutional Networking: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and corporate forums.
- Broker Relations: Build and maintain deep relationships with key insurance brokers and financial intermediaries.
- Meet and exceed performance targest
- Effective cost management to remain within approved expense budgets.
Requirements
- A relevant Business related Degree.
- A post graduate business qualification , Knowledge of Employee Benefits plus relevant legislation and or professional Insurance Certification will be added advantages
- Minimum of 3 years experience, within Corporate Business Development and client management in the Long Term Insurance Industry or
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a Business Development and client Management role within the financial services sector
- A sound understanding of the dynamics around the employee benefits needs, product distribution, product development and pricing and the ever changing legal and regulatory environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills oral and written
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
- Must demonstrate a strong ability to manage complex processes and focus on business outcomes in a complex uncertain environment
