Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Facility Manager in carrying out the programme of building and engineering maintenance and improvements.
- Ensure that hospitals receive satisfactory service and prompt attention to emergency work.
- Promote energy conservation programmes throughout the hospital.
- Ensure records are kept and analysed to ensure efficient use of energy.
- Ensure compliance with all building and engineering regulations and other statutory requirements.
- Attend meetings with the Equipment Specialist and/or Architect to provide advice on budgeting.
- Provide overall supervision and guidance of central and regional technicians countrywide.
- Make regular inspections of the estate to ensure maintenance programmes are carried out effectively and efficiently.
- Develop, deploy and support business processes.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Building, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years’ working experience .
- OR
- Diploma in Construction Management, Architecture, Building, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience .
- Added Advantage: Working in a hospital environment.
