Key Responsibilities
- Driving of company delivery vehicles to deliver customer orders and collecting of stock.
- Ensuring the daily checks on the vehicle are carried out, and any faults reported to the Supervisor.
- Loading and offloading of freight at customers which can be handled by hand
- Tie down/securing of own load.
- Closing of freight with sails/nets, or securing the side curtains, before departing for routes, as well as assisting to secure/close up other vehicles which are loaded.
- Ensure the safe transport of all freight.
- Using scanners for all deliveries and ensuring that all POD’s and delivery notes are returned and scanned.
- Ensuring Health and Safety rules are adhered to at all times.
- Ensuring housekeeping standards are adhered to at all times.
- Be able to adhere to specific timeframes and ensure daily tasks are completed within specified timeframes.
- To ensure effective collection of cargo and delivery of cargo from one location to another location, vehicle inspection, load planning, parcel inspection for quantity and quality, scanning, loading of cargo, load securing, compliance to laws of the land, offloading of cargo, accurate record keeping and professional customer service.

- Must have a valid code 10 license and driving code 10 vehicle experience for minimum of 5 years
- Valid PDP for minimum of 5 years
