Key Responsibilities
- Teach educational measurement, psychometrics, assessment, statistics, or research courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Conduct research and publish in educational measurement, assessment, and psychometrics.
- Supervise student research projects where applicable.
- Participate in curriculum development and programme review activities within the Department.
- Contribute to academic administration and departmental service activities.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Department and Faculty from time to time.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in Educational Research, Measurement, and Assessment, or an equivalent qualification, from a recognised institution.
- Formal qualification and training as a secondary education teacher.
- Demonstrated coursework background in educational measurement, psychometrics, assessment, statistics, and educational research methodology.
- Advanced computer literacy with practical, hands-on experience using psychometric and statistical software such as JMETRIK, DIMTEST, BILOG, or equivalent packages.
- Preference will be given to candidates who: Have relevant teaching experience at a tertiary institution. Have published scholarly work in the area of educational measurement, assessment, or psychometrics.
