MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – Mjuza Group of Companies

The Mjuza Group of Companies is looking for a dynamic, creative and results-driven Marketing & Business Development Manager to lead the marketing, customer acquisition and business growth initiatives across our group of companies, which operates in quality automotive parts (spares), tyres, transport and filling station services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative ways to attract new customers, increase sales, strengthen customer loyalty and grow the visibility of the group. The role will have a strong focus on digital marketing, social media advertising, promotions, partnerships and practical sales-generating initiatives.
The ideal candidate should be commercially minded and able to turn marketing ideas into measurable increases in customers, sales and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies for all businesses within the group.
  • Manage and grow the company’s presence on all relevant digital platforms.
  • Create and coordinate engaging advertisements, promotional campaigns, videos, product posts and other marketing content.
  • Run targeted social media advertising campaigns aimed at attracting customers and generating sales.
  • Identify the most effective digital platforms and marketing channels for each business.
  • Monitor advertising performance and adjust campaigns to achieve better results.
  • Develop creative campaigns around tyres, motor spares, fuel, transport services, special offers and seasonal promotions.
  • Develop innovative strategies to increase sales and attract new customers.
  • Identify potential customer groups and develop campaigns specifically targeted at them.
  • Develop promotions, discounts, loyalty initiatives and special offers that encourage customers to buy.
  • Work closely with sales and operational teams to convert marketing leads into actual sales.

  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell products and services across the group-for example, tyres, spares, fuel and transport-related services.

  • Develop relationships with companies, fleet operators, garages, workshops, transport companies, government/private organisations and other potential corporate customers.
  • Develop partnership and referral opportunities that can generate additional business.
  • Research competitors and market trends and recommend ways for the group to remain competitive.
  • Identify opportunities for new products, services, promotions or business ventures.
  • Prepare business development proposals and presentations where required.
  • Constantly develop new and innovative ways of attracting customers.
  • Introduce creative campaigns, competitions, giveaways, customer loyalty programmes and promotional events.
  • Explore new technologies and digital tools that can improve marketing and customer engagement.
  • Look for opportunities to use customer data and market information to improve sales.
  • Keep the company ahead of competitors by identifying new marketing trends and customer preferences.
  • Strengthen and maintain a consistent brand image across all companies in the group.
  • Ensure that advertising, signage, social media and promotional materials present a professional image.
  • Coordinate the development of marketing materials, including posters, flyers, banners, videos and digital content.
  • Promote the group as a trusted and competitive provider of automotive and related services.
  • Develop strategies for engaging customers through social media and other communication channels.
  • Monitor customer feedback, comments and reviews and ensure that issues are escalated and addressed appropriately.
  • Develop customer databases and communication campaigns where appropriate.
  • Use WhatsApp and other digital channels to communicate promotions, new products and services to customers.
  • Conduct regular market and competitor research.
  • Monitor pricing, promotions and marketing activities of competitors.
  • Track key marketing and business development performance indicators.
  • Prepare regular reports on campaigns, leads, customer growth and sales performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management, Sales, Communications or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in marketing, sales, business development or a related role.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital and social media marketing, particularly Facebook and Instagram.
  • Experience developing and managing paid advertising campaigns is an advantage.
  • Experience in the automotive, transport, fuel, retail or related industries will be an advantage.
  • Proven track record of generating customers and increasing sales through marketing or business development initiatives.
  • Experience with customer relationship management and market research is an added advantage.
