You will oversee staff scheduling, ensure food safety standards are met, handle customer complaints, manage inventory, and coordinate between kitchen and front-of-house teams. You also train new employees, monitor service quality, and assist with daily cash reconciliation and reporting to management.

How does workplace culture in Lesotho's hospitality sector affect this role?

What career progression opportunities exist for Restaurant Supervisors in Lesotho?

With experience, you can advance to Food and Beverage Manager, Assistant Hotel Manager, or General Manager positions within boutique hotels or larger hospitality groups. Some supervisors also move into training roles, open their own restaurants, or transition to corporate hospitality management in South Africa or internationally.

Benefits vary by employer but commonly include annual leave, sick leave, and contributions to the National Social Security Fund. Larger or international-standard hotels may offer medical aid, staff meals, uniform allowances, and performance bonuses, though these are not guaranteed across all establishments.
