Key Responsibilities
- Market and sell postal products and services to the public.
- Collect revenue for ancillary services, including private bag and box rentals, Cash-On-Delivery (COD) items and other retail offerings.
- Issue and process ordinary and telegraphic money orders and postal orders according to customer requirements.
- Honour and cash postal orders, money orders and pension payments upon verification of valid customer identification.
- Maintain an accurate daily cash book for all retail transactions.
- Reconcile and balance accounts for retail services to ensure financial accuracy.
- Receive incoming mail, registered articles and parcels from customers.
- Facilitate the counter-delivery of outgoing mail items to customers.
- Execute mail circulation duties, including sorting letters on primary and secondary sorting frames.
- Sort mail designated for private bags and private boxes.
- Inspect posted items for damage sustained during transit.
- Identify and report irregularities observed during the sorting process.
- Manage undeliverable mail by forwarding unclaimed letters to the Returned Letters Office (RLO) and processing unclaimed mail matter in accordance with regulations.
Requirements
- Diploma in Accounting, Business Management or Business Studies.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ relevant working experience.
- Prior experience in the Postal Services sector is highly desirable.

- COSC plus six (6) years’ working experience as a Postal Clerk (Grade C) or Postal Clerk Assistant (Grade C).
