Receiving, unpacking, checking, storing and delivering stock for students’ use are the main responsibilities of stores attendant. This includes keeping a well-maintained record of all items that enter or leave the warehouse, including goods that are damaged during classes.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring stock levels to identify quantity of goods to be ordered based on demand.
- Receiving, inspecting and recording movement of stock and tools .
- Issuing tools to students /personnel in the department and keeping records of materials or tools issued and returned.
- Processing stock requisitions.
- Expediting of requisitions and making follow up such requisitions.
- Monthly Stock taking of materials, reconciliation and reporting .
- Monthly Stock taking of tools reconciliation and reporting .
- Maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse .
- Ensuring safe work environmentReceiving tools, components and materials from suppliers and other stores.
- Goods inwards documentation checking, goods checking and acceptance of all deliveries to stock.
- Ensure all received stock is undamaged and that everything ordered is present and accounted for.
- Ensuring all tools are returned, recorded and placed correctly in the Tool Stores when teaching is complete.
- Ensuring the Stores Supervisor and Head of Program(HOP) are informed of low stock and other shortages which may require re-ordering.
- Ensure all products are suitably packaged.
- Maintain a safe working environment within the Stores areas and all Health and Safety legislation is observed. Including basic “house-keeping”.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Requirements
- Minimum requirement is Certificate in Purchasing, Business management or equivalent.
- Experience in Store keeping or management will be an added advantage
- Good Communication Skills

- Good interpersonal Skills
