Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process supplier invoice batches, ensuring completeness, accuracy and correctness and compliance with supporting compliance documentation.
- Capture suppliers invoices and supporting documentation under SAP system.
- Process and capture sundry invoice batches in SAP.
- Calculate WHT where applicable.
- Resolve invoice related queries from suppliers in a timely manner.
- Prepare payment projections for all accounts payables obligations due for payment.
- Prepare automatic payments in SAP or EFT based on approved projections.
- Verify suppliers banking details and effect payments within the agreed terms.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records, registers and filing systems.
- Reconcile allocated individuals creditors accounts against suppliers monthly statements.
- Follow up all reconciling items and clear within the agreed time frames.
- Assist with audit requests by providing supporting financial records and documents.
- Prepare audit files as per audit programme.
- Ensure all payment supporting documents are properly filed and readily available for reference and audit purposes.
- Prepare periodic accounts payable reports.
- Resolve payment and invoices related issues.
Requirements
- BComm Accounting/GA or any other related qualification.
- Two years experience in Finance/Accounting related environment.
- Fair understanding of International Accounting Standards.
- Proficiency in accounting packages (preferably SAP) and MS Office packages.
- Fair knowledge of Lesotho Tax Laws.
- Highly numerate and good reporting skills
- Valid driver’s license.
